29.-30.07 Kiteboarding seminar

Also, in the frame of Samsung Wave Kite Party 2010 within two days – 29th and 30th of July - in Ventspils will be held kiteboardists seminar for Beginners.

Join and start kite boarding! It is an opportunity to everyone to get an idea about what is kite board, learn the basics of this sport, safety rules, equipment and start to learn how to kite board.


The seminar consists of practical and theoretical lessons.

Place: Ventspils, Seaside Camping’s seminar hall and surf beach.

Program:

July 29th, Thursday

11:00 Registration, acquaintance
11:30 to 13:00 Theoretical lesson:

* what is kite board? (Development, story)
* Kite board Security (rules, the remaining on land, your partner, helmets, protective vest)
* Kite board equipment (kites, bars, boards, rider equipment, your right choice)
* Wind direction, wind range, movement direction, etc.

13:00 to 13:45 Lunch break
14:00 to 18:00 Exercises on the beach:

* Training on kite controlling
* Preparation of equipment, assembly
* Kite running, lifting, lowering

(18:00 to 20:00 the opportunity to receive individual consultations / lessons from instructors for additional fee)

21:00 chill by the fire, water pipe, kite video and photo viewing

July 30th, Friday

9:30 to 10:30 Repetition of theory
10:30 to 14:00 Exercises on the beach:

* Kite assembly
* Lifting
* Controlling
* Kite raising from the water
* Kite controlling on water (body dragging)
* Start of ride

Fee for seminar: 60 LVL / person (the price includes theoretical and practical lessons, kite board equipment, lunch, snack kit)

Instructors
Individual lessons: 15 LVL / h per 1 person or 20 LVL / h for 2 persons
Places: 12

NB! In a case of lack of wind strength, a part of practice sessions will be replaced with a SUP (stand up paddle board) and the Seaside Aqua Park Ventspils visit.
